Innovative Dining Group, owner of some of the most successful concepts of the L.A. dining scene, approached Livit with a clear ask: create a new fast-casual sushi concept from scratch; a huge departure from how IDG was operating at the time.
Yakumi was born as the result of marrying the sexy, enticing personality of all the IDG concepts with an efficient, compact operational model where the guest is in full control of the experience. One condition? Not to give up the quality nor the attention to detail that the group is well known for.
The secret to success in Yakumi is that both on premise and off premise experiences are equally important: Livit´s priority from the beginning was to design every touchpoint keeping in mind the needs of our different guests: from a curated packaging to eat at the office to the pick up window directly into the kitchen for riders.
The first Yakumi location opened in Burbank in 2021 and more are to come!
